Why I think Kristen Stewart should win “Best Actress”

I cannot believe my prediction came true. I got so excited when reading the nominees and that Kristen Stewart is nominated for “Best Actress” for the film Spencer. I remember watching it with my friend from school. We were both excited to watch it together. Kristen Stewart portraying Princess Diana was impressive; her accent, tone of voice (which sounded soft, quick, and breathy), and of course, emotions were convincing and sympathetic. In the film, Diana seemed captivated and lonely at her home. No one seemed to care, not even her unfaithful husband. The scene where Diana is eating with her royal family and looking very anxious, imagines herself pulling her pearl necklace with thrust and anger made me felt the anxious emotion she was having. Powerful scene. My friend and I even talked about it after the movie finished. There was one scene where I remember it making me tear up a little —Diana being surrounded by the paparazzi. I cannot imagine how the real Diana had to deal with the publicity but seeing Kristen as Diana looked saddening to watch. She looked very uncomfortable and had her head down. Stewart is an actress that provokes emotions where it shows in her body, posture and her voice. I grew up watching some of her films (Catch that Kid and of course, Twilight) and I think she has grown as an actress. She seemed articulate and passionate in her interviews for Spencer. She wears her heart in her sleeve when acting, which all actors should practice doing. She is also someone who makes awkwardness look like an awesome thing. I am thrilled that she is nominated. It would be such a joyous and surreal feeling to see her holding an Oscar and giving a speech. 🎭🎟👑.
